FRANK’S CUTTING ROOM FLOOR FOR FRIDAY, 5/7:

My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut for Friday was with the Denver Nuggets plus the points versus the Utah Jazz. Denver (44-22) has won ten of their last twelve games after their 113-97 win against New York on Wednesday. The Nuggets have covered the point spread in 7 of their last 10 games against teams with a winning record. They have also covered the point spread in 4 of their last 5 games as an underdog. Utah (48-18) has won four of their last five games after their 126-94 victory against San Antonio as a 6.5-point favorite on Wednesday. The Jazz stay at home where they have failed to cover the point spread in 5 of their last 7 home games as a favorite. They are also just 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 home games against teams who are winning at least 60% of their games on the road. Take Denver plus the points. Best of luck — Frank.

Friday NBA Free play. My selection is on the 'over' between Denver and Utah at 9:10 pm et on Friday.

This is a low posted total by today's NBA standards and I believe it will prove too low on Friday night. Denver shot a miserable 37.8% from the field against the Knicks last time out, but still managed to score 113 points. Despite missing Jamal Murray among others, the Nuggets have still managed to put up at least 110 points in six of their last seven games overall with the lone outlier being a 93-89 loss against the Lakers in Los Angeles earlier this week. Few teams have been as efficient offensively as the Nuggets this season, noting that they shoot 48.8% as a team on the road. Utah has gotten better offensively with each passing game on its current homestand, scoring 106, 110 and 126 points. After a brief slump in late April as they adjusted to life without Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz have rounded back into form, shooting 50% or better in three of their last five contests. Of course, Utah has been outstanding at home this season, going 29-4 and averaging 117.5 points per game on 47.1% shooting. The 'over' has cashed in two of the last three meetings between these two teams in Utah and has gone 9-7 in the last 16 matchups in the series overall. With the Jazz averaging 120.4 points per game at home off two or more straight home victories, look for them to set the pace here as this one sails 'over' the very reasonable total. Take the over (10*).

Sean cashed his 10* NBA on TNT Total of the Month last night (LAL-LAC 'over') and extends his 11-2 NBA big ticket totals run with his 10* Non-Conference Total of the Month for May on Friday night! Your best bet is a weekly or monthly subscription package, giving you access to ALL of Murph's winners every day!
